| Why Our office? It’s because you will be treated with dignity, kindness, and friendliness in a safe and pleasant setting. Our office is located in a quiet residential neighborhood across from Harvard Gulch Park. We are located on a hospital campus with ample, free, secure parking.
Unlike other websites that you may visit, here you will find the name and qualifications of the doctor who will actually perform the procedure. My name is Dr. Edward O’Loughlin. I am a graduate of New York University School of Medicine. I am Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. I personally have performed over 50,000 abortions including medical and surgical abortions. I would highly recommend that the doctor who performs your abortion be certified by the American Board of Gynecology. We have tried to keep our fees as reasonable as possible so we can make our services available to women who need them. We feel it is extremely important for your safety that you return for a follow-up visit at no charge. I think the best reason to come to our clinic is my staff. They have been with me for a long time and we have come of think of each other as family. Over the years, I’ve noticed they also treat our patients as if they too are family. It can be discouraging to sit in a large over crowed waiting room for six to eight hours. Therefore, we stagger our appointments to reduce waiting time. Medical abortion patients and surgical abortion patient, who are under 12 weeks pregnant, will usually be in the office one to two hours. For patients above 12 weeks pregnant, it might be approximately three hours. We offer a choice of IV conscious sedation or oral pain medication for the procedure. We also perform pelvic ultrasounds before the procedures to confirm dates and after the procedure to ensure the uterus is empty. This is not the case in most clinics. IMPORTANT The Supreme Court of the United State has placed some restrictions on late abortions. If you are pregnant and considering abortion, it is important for you to know how far into the pregnancy you are. Sometimes women are much further along in the pregnancy than they think. We offer a limited ultrasound to help you with your decision. Please call our office at 303-733-5511 for more information. |
